The second West Orange Story was written by my another good English friend, Wendy Copeland.  Thank you Wendy for your very personal memory from this unforgettable event.

'Wow and more wow's I was honoured and lucky enough to go to West Orange to visit some of the places David Cassidy grew up. Barb and Karen organised a 3 day event to include the historical marker at Colgate Field for David and a street name to be sited where he lived 'The Cassidy Way'. Such an amazing time, at the event I met David's children, Kate and Beau, and chatted with them about travelling from the UK, they were both so gracious and allowed me to get up close to take a few pictures. You could see how overwhelmed they were by the love we all have for David, this was clear to see by their emotions on the day.

I travelled with my husband, and loved seeing my forever friends who I have met on several David Cassidy gatherings over the last few years. May this year several of us met up again and celebrated David's Best Friend's 75th Birthday Sam Hyman 

Another highlight of my visit was meeting Henry Diltz, the iconic photographer who travelled the world with David Cassidy in the 70s, we chatted about the possibility of him coming to the UK. He was interested where I came from which is the North of the UK, Lancashire. I also have to say Henry has the moves on the dance floor, don't think many people can say they have done the bump dance with Henry lol, when we were dancing I asked him if he was enjoying this as much as we were, and of course his answer was 'yes', check out the picture with Henry and I dancing and the yellow tambourine on his arm.

Following this we went on to Saratoga where David raced his horses, before onto going to NYC, again visiting places that David was connected ie where he played 'Blood Brothers' etc.

All I can say this was a memorable event for everyone and all this happened because of David. David's legacy and exceptional talent continues.

Robyn Millan

  I learnt yesterday that Robyn Millan died last year. Someone published a post about the TPF's episode where she'd appeared as a guest star, 'Dora, Dora, Dora', Season 2 episode 1, aired 50 years ago, on September 17, 1971..And there was a comment about that episode that the script was poorly written, sexist etc. Maybe, no one would dare write something like that now, but the world looked different half a century ago..And I really felt sad yesterday because of Robyn. Two Weddings In Las Vegas

First 'Four Weddings and a Funeral'. The film premiered in the UK 30 years ago, on May 13, 1994.  A low budget film, made in 6 weeks, became unexpected success, all over the world, earned just mountains of money, and made of  Hugh Grant international star. It's also a film with a very strong David Cassidy's connection.  The script was written by Richard Curtis (born in 1956), whose partner (they married after many years in 2023), a popular broadcaster Emma Freud, was (and still is) a DC fan.
