'Play Me One Of The Songs..'

Tony Romeo's words, from the song asked for by David Cassidy himself, in 1973. 53 years ago, but for us, 'Sing Me' is fresh and timless like it was written only yesterday. Lately I listen to it (and the whole album)  often.

There are 2 reasons, the first one is rather private, but who knows maybe it will be an inspiration for someone in the same situation as I was. It's because that after years of neglecting problems with hearing, I got modern hearing aids. You can't imagine how it's changed my life for better, and how now I can really and truly appreciate David's music. Incredible experience. His voice got new tone (for me), and I discovered some new instruments in the songs known for me so well. So if someone has hearing problems don't hesitate, hearing aids are easy to use and they worth any money.

The second reason are pics published on David Cassidy Virtual Fan Club a few days ago. They are unstoppable. Barb, Robyn, Karen and Joann. Together, with another great fan, Ben, they got permission from the homeowner to go into the backyard of 23 Elm Street (in West Orange of course), where David Cassidy played as a little boy. It's so easy to imagine him there. We all hope that one day the owners understand it's not ordinary curiosity, how important for us this house, this place on Earth is, and let Barb &co come inside. March 31, 2026. What a day to remember. Shirley Jones is 92 years old and still enjoys her life, What an inspiration for all of us. She is so precious for all David Cassidy's fans all around the world. We  wish one and only Shirley Jones Happy Birthday.

And The Stone. It's actually started a few years ago. The idea, later the petition and now, today, the mission has been completed. 213 supporters raised the recquired amount, and I'm very glad it's over. Now we can wait for details and the date of David Cassidy Birthday Stone Unveiling and Ceremony. Yes, it could be forever!

  I learnt yesterday that Robyn Millan died last year. Someone published a post about the TPF's episode where she'd appeared as a guest star, 'Dora, Dora, Dora', Season 2 episode 1, aired 50 years ago, on September 17, 1971. First 'Four Weddings and a Funeral'. The film premiered in the UK 30 years ago, on May 13, 1994.  A low budget film, made in 6 weeks, became unexpected success, all over the world, earned just mountains of money, and made of  Hugh Grant international star. It's also a film with a very strong David Cassidy's connection.  The script was written by Richard Curtis (born in 1956), whose partner (they married after many years in 2023), a popular broadcaster Emma Freud, was (and still is) a DC fan.
