"West Orange Misses You Too"
It's too good to not be used as a catchy title. Karen Ranieri's answer for my confession that I missed West Orange. And I really do. Since returning from the US at the beginning of last August I've read 2 Joseph Fagan's West Orange books, several collections of travel reports from that part of North America, some history books, and I keep checking what's going on in West Orange.
It's wonderful that Barb Schlamp Collentine, Joann Lombardi and Karen Ranieri keep in touch with the West Orange Mayor, Susan McCartney and other fans who live in New Jersey. And a few days ago Karen and Joann (and Joan and Frances) also met with Henry Diltz, in New York, and gave him a David Cassidy Way sign, and he was sooo happy to get it and meet with girls, and what's more he really wants to come to West Orange again !! It's just so wonderful, and I think we really should meet again there. We miss West Orange, but West Orange truly misses David Cassidy fans.
We brought him home. And now this is also our place. Joe Fagan signed 'Stories of West Orange' for me with such words,"To Weronika, The Roads Of Home Will Always Pass Through West Orange".

We have a lot of important anniversaries in March, famous concerts played in 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974 and the last one ever played by David was also in March. Jack Cassidy, Shirley Jones and Suzanne Crough were born in March. But the most important is what happened exactly 50 years ago, in March 1976. David Cassidy's second RCA album was released in the US, UK, Australia, Germany, Japan, Turkey and France.

'Home Is Where The Heart Is'. Thanks to my FB friend, so generous, Lee Mackenzie, I have my own vinyl copy, and I listen to it often, sometimes every day, and I'm never tired of it.
Produced by David Cassidy and Bruce Johnston it was entirely a David album. More than any other recorded by him in the 70s. Who knows maybe ever. He was in control, wrote or co-wrote 7 of 10 songs, and 3 covers from that album were outstanding and maybe even better than the originals.
There were some great reviews in the musical press, mostly in the UK. Record Mirror, about the single from that album, 'Tomorrow/Bedtime', "This is by far the best of the 'new' Cassidy we heard yet. His vocal is very assured throughout and he does wonders with the high notes. The whole effect is very Beatles-ish. Very catchy, very clever. I love it and it should make top 5"
