'Three Cheers For Our Good Pal, Henry Diltz!'

A catchy title, but first a song. From David's album recorded in 1979, but not released at the time, only in 1991.

Not all the fans know those really amazing songs. Yes, they are covers, but like always with David, when he covered a song he had a reason for it. He also recorded a new version of his own song. 'Junked Heart Blues'. I wonder why. It's different, less dramatic than the recording from 1976. It's easy to imagine David sitting at the piano and playing it in some nightclub. It's more mature. Maybe he recorded with Kay, at the time his wife, in mind. Or maybe he just liked it and wanted to give the song one more chance.

Three Cheers For Henry!. Always, we all love him. But this title is from a very old article I've read today. I found at last some time to have a look at the website's updates. And in Fan magazine from November 1974, we can read that Henry Diltz "is David Cassidy's best buddy and it's because of him that we manage to get so many beautiful and exclusive photos of DC. So thanks, Henry!" Nothing changed and after 52 years we can say the same, 'Three cheers for Henry!'

In the same mag we can also see the pic I use in this blog (and some others) and a very moving letter from fan begging David to return to the stage..There is also an interview with DC and his memories from Japan, he visited as part of his World Tour in 1974.

Jane always posts something special on David's birthday. The same was this year. More photos of DC and his backing singers, Gloria and Trish, from De Doelen, Rotterdam concert, May 12, 1974. Really amazing.

We also got an interview with David Cassidy from 2008, which really has made me dream about returning to New Jersey. How I wish..The title, 'Cassidy Returns', is about his gig in an Atlantic City casino. David said, "My grandparents used to take me down to Atlantic City where they went when they were young, It brings back a lot of memories for me to come back to New Jersey." And about the scent of Atlantic Ocean, "It just smells different, and it smells fantastic to me. So every time I go there, I got real sense of belonging, a sense of 'it's mine'. It's a part of me."

There are also new videos. David signing his CD 'Then & Now', those happy fans and him smiling, that was so nice to watch.

Last, but not least DC once more seducing Brtish audience..He was so charming and sexy on this program. Yes, already in 2001 he was a pop legend, an icon. He really deserves his Stone at London Music Walk of Fame.
