'He Had The Biggest Heart'
Kim Carnes said this about David Cassidy for 'Rolling Stone' on November 22, 2017. And that he had the best laugh and the best smile. But this 'biggest heart' has stuck with me.

Only David and his warm, young voice made all those songs so special, he made us happy, and we still smile listening to many of Partridge Family's hits. Of course I know he was first of all an actor, I know that most of the stories fans could read in teen magazines were made up, that David Cassidy was a sophisticated, complex man, who knew very well how to use his charm. But he was kind and really cared for his fans, he had good heart, and it was something his fans always knew.
My friend Doreen Walker wrote once an entry for me, called 'David Cassidy Human Being' and we can read in it, "There is a side to David that everyone should follow and that is being kind and compassionate to other no matter what.(..) His philosophy of life was to be kind to one another, love one another and every animal around the world. David supported many charities over the years, often anonymously, as he wanted to help those that needed help, he started doing this way back from the early 70s, without the media circus, this was well before it became something what celebrties do now on a regular bases with the media in tow." So true.

There are so many real life stories, examples of his kindness, examples of selfless help. We can see his kindness even in the way he used to sign his autograph. He knew how important it was for fans.
We have on The Official Website of David Cassidy some pages dedicated to his charity work. This is one of them, 'Charities And Fondrising Events - Last Century'. Great read.

The life has changed him. At the end of his book, 'Could It Be Forever?' published in 2007, David wrote about himself, 'I have gone through so many changes as a human being, but the one thing that has stayed with me is, I believe, my compassion, my ability to connect with others'. (page 415). It never changed, My friend Maya has told me today, "You can see David had a good heart when he was doing his community service. I know the cameras were rolling but yes, he had a good, humble heart."
